Toyota Celsior

The Toyota Celsior is suitable for European Navigation, TV (analogue or Digital) and DVD conversion.

The conversion featured shows Navigation, DVT-T Freeview TV & Radio Conversion, Analogue TV, and DVD fitment (allowing both DVD and MP3 playback), displaying on the in-dash screen and operated by remote control. All other Hifi features remain in use and are unaffected by this addition.

The Japanese satellite navigation system was converted to full UK and European navigation with feature's such as Postcode Address Search, Points of Interest (POI) Display, Alternate Route and turn-by-turn Voice Guidance.

The navigation mapping data is provide from a DVD based unit and is related to the vehicle position obtain from the GPS satellites. GPS is a position detecting system utilising the signals from GPS satellites by the U.S. Department of Defence. The mobile navigation system uses the input from three or more satellites and calculates the vehicle position based on the principle of triangulation DVD base mapping provides far more information than CD derived data sources used in earlier systems.

Freeview offers around 50 channels of TV & Radio, and is the ‘free to watch’ Digital TV service that allows you to see extra channels such as Sky 3, BBC News 24, ITV 2, Sky News, E4, UKTV History, via standard terrestrial transmissions.
