The Lexus Soarer EMV TV Screen can be converted to UK analogue television reception with full touch screen functionality exclusively in the United Kingdom by Driveandview.com and features twin audio/video inputs for an additional DVD player, Apple I-Pod or music player.

The system uses the original Toyota TV tuner located under the back seat of the EMV equipped Lexus Soarer Limited, the original 4 diversity aerial  system and does not require additional components, such as a remote control. The conversion changes the Japanese TV channel spacing to those suitable for TV reception in the UK and alters the Japanese TV audio offsets to those used by UK broadcasters. Enhancements by Driveandview.com allow reception characteristic to match those of Clarion and Kenwood tuner technology.

The Japanese to English TV conversion for the Soarer also features the PAL to NTSC colour converter. The PAL to NTSC converter changes the PAL colour standard  from the modified tuner to the NTSC colour signal required for the Soarer's EMV TV Touch screen ( The original EMV Screen is not altered ).

The original screen mounted TV aerials (one in each rear quarter, and two in the rear screen) are used as these perform better than aftermarket ones and are also equipped with amplifiers foe each of the 4 aerials.  The diversity TV tuner switches rapidly and seamlessly between each of the 4 aerial to achieved reception from the strongest signal.

This is the only conversion of this type that functions via touch screen. Twelve memory selections are available for your favourite TV channels and are programmed in the same manner as the radio tuner selections are made. The TV tuner memory selection also features a quick access button for rapid memory changes.
