The Lexus (Toyota) Soarer's GPS Touch screen display is used for full Satellite Navigation display. The UK upgrade involves replacements to the Japanese Satellite Navigation Hardware, therefore the Soarer's original interior and original EMV controlled HIFI remains the same. The Soarer EMV Touchscreen TV is not modified in this conversion.

UK Satellite Navigation conversion to the existing Lexus Soarer EMV Satellite Navigation screen is achieved by fitting new GPS computer hardware located out-of-sight, working in parallel with the exiting Toyota OEM screen. UK Satellite Navigation conversions to Japanese Imports (JDM) do not modify existing Hifi operation to English, alter the Radio display to English or change air conditioning information that is displayed on screen.

Satellite Navigation Hardware fitted normally exceeds operational reliability of portable units - this can be vital in a busy town or city where GPS receiver signals could be poor. The use of fast acting gyroscopes helps to ascertain position at junction intersections and roundabouts. Auto power-up operation means that the GPS computer can 'lock' the available positioning satellites immediately the ignition is turned-on.
