Additional Information
UK Satellite Navigation conversion to the existing Mazda RX8 Satellite Navigation screen is achieved by fitting new GPS computer hardware located in the same position as the Japanese OEM unit, working in parallel with the exiting Mazda OEM Navigation screen. UK Satellite Navigation conversions to Japanese Imports (JDM) do not modify existing Hifi operation to English or alter the Radio display to English.

Satellite Navigation Hardware fitted normally exceeds operational reliability of portable units, this can be vital in a busy town or city where GPS receiver signals could be poor - rendering the portable user with incorrect guidance information. The use of fast acting gyroscopes helps to ascertain position at junction intersections and roundabouts. Auto power-up operation means that the GPS computer can 'lock' the available positioning satellites immediately the ignition is turned-on.
